The timing of this post is something else. Yesterday I did the final interview of a two year project with a 46 year old former pro marathoner who returned to running after the stunning loss of a close friend, followed by the deaths of both parents. Running was something he could control at a time when so many things were out of his control.
What you’re doing, in my opinion, is living intentionally. Lacing up your shoes doesn’t fix everything of course. But as my runner said, there’s worse ways to process things.
Love you even more for this one, Mia. I always feel we're on similar journeys. Really appreciate this. I've made it to 10k recently with my runs. Am not at all sure I can make a marathon but this certainly inspires me. xxx
Thank you for this Mia. I’ve been enjoying your posts and willingness to be vulnerable immensely.
Thank you, Joel!
You got this!
Thank you, Cyrus! Great to hear from you.

Good luck! You’re going to love it
Thank you for this - I'd love to hear/read your piece when it's out in the world. I'm definitely taking inspiration from other runners.
Man, do I miss working with editors. At least one embarrassing grammar mistake has been fixed. I'm sure there are more. Xx
